Dr. Raul Ramirez is a licensed acupuncturist and martial arts instructor. Devoting a great deal of his life to both the healing and combat arts, Raul's expertise is as diverse as it is deep. He studied External Northern Kung Fu, including Sanda (Chinese Kickboxing) and Shuai Jiao (Traditional Chinese Wrestling) in Beijing, China and is trained extensively in a number of Internal styles including Qi Gong, Xing Yi Quan, Yue Jia Quan, Yin Yang Palm (Si Liang Zhang), Chen Style Tai Ji Quan, and Wu style Tai Ji Quan. Beyond the Chinese Martial Arts, Dr. Ramirez is also trained in Indonesian Bangau Putih Silat, Sumo Wrestling, Brazilian Jujitsu, and Muay Thai. His talent in Sanda and Shua Jiao has taken him to the top of the national Sanda arena, winning the National Championship in 2003. But his passion for martial arts shows most when he is teaching: enthusiasm, motivation and a drive to bring out the best in his students.
