| July 12, 2010 One of the highest ideals of the Warrior Sage is to serve—his fellow man, the Earth, and his God, whatever that means to him. All of his actions in dealing with the outside world come from a sense of service. He surrenders his idle desires for the greater good of the community. He allows himself to be guided by the ever-present sense of doing God’s work, however he interprets that work. This service is his driving purpose. It is not servitude or slavery, nor is it a strain on personal happiness or ambition; rather, he aims to gain personal wealth by adding great value to those around him, by serving and thus making his actions not only important to his own life but important to others’ lives as well. In business, in conflict, and in life, come from a place of deep purpose. Free yourself from any narcissistic, narrow-minded motivation concerned solely with your wants, and rather live to give. The more you serve—the more worth you add to others’ lives—the more worthy you will become and you shall reap tremendous rewards; but more importantly, you will be loved and you will love along the way. Ultimately, the true intention of humble service will cultivate business, will prevent conflict, and will enhance all life to its fullest potential. |
